"Play Ball: The Art of America's Favorite Pastime" is an incredible installation that celebrates the most wonderful summer tradition of all--a day, or days, spent at the ballpark. From stadium landmarks to notable players and teams, to our own memories of pick-up games' from yesteryear, the SAA's "Play Ball" exhibition is a celebration of contemporary artists and their interpretation of America's beloved game.
"Play Ball" will be displayed in the Springfield Art Association's Gallery of Art from June 25 through August 21, 2010. The opening reception for the exhibition will be on Friday, June 25th from 5:30 to 7:00pm.
The Gallery of Art is located within the Springfield Art Association at 700 North 4th Street in Springfield, Illinois. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10am to 5pm, and Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
